That was a sound from deep within Familiar and friendly it seemed I wondered why no one was seen Some fear and excitement entwined I responded with a joyful skin Knowing it was the voice within! Where have you been so long; I asked I never thought without you I’d be so lost It’s such fun to have you to talk Judgements & perceptions aside are cast Please stay and be with me for There is none here who will forever last! Crying it said, “I was never apart; I called out till my sound was tart, In pursuit of gleaming horizons unseen You walked away a distance afar, Come back within to the peace and calm To sculpt your being and spread your charm!” -Vishakha Bhagnani

Beneath the bright umbrella of the sun, In the midst of this greenery, as I lay on the grass, Hearing the sweet song of the canary, I wonder when was this experience last, My life is as happy as never in the past Your presence always fills my heart When you’re around and when you’re not I’m amused…what should this be called? You’ve become now of me a part I endlessly talk to you and whisper sweet nothings Laughing with you over petty tales You’re the first to share my woes and cheers And always besides me to dry my tears In the deepest corner of my heart Where there was a vacuum once You’ve filled pleasure in abundance The solitude I always felt is nowhere near Your thoughts have filled me, my soul and my existence! -           Vishakha Bhagnani
